Public Involvement

The successful development of a transportation project requires a proactive public involvement plan that will provide ample opportunity for participation in the plan development process.  Accordingly, the project team contracted by GDOT has developed a Public Involvement Plan to organize and manage public involvement programs for the I-16/I-75 Improvement Project.  This plan includes various methods for public input.  Stakeholders, residents, and concerned citizens will be involved in the planning and project development process in order to accurately identify transportation problems and acceptable solutions.

Among the methods that will be utilized throughout the plan development process to generate local agency and active community involvement are the following:

Project Newsletters
Public Information Meetings / Public Hearings
Advisory Committee Meetings
Local Community Meetings
